Whether you’re a novice or an expert, come test your racing skills and try to clinch the championship title in this tournament, which consists of 3 phases!
Join the local phase of the tournament taking place on April 13th, 2024, and stand a chance to represent the CJE Verdun in the regional and provincial phases! In addition to the honor of proudly representing your neighborhood’s CJE in this competition, you could also win prizes at each stage of the tournament!
Key Dates and Details:
– April 13, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM: Local Phase | Verdun / Nuns’ Island. The event will be held at the CJE Verdun. The top 3 winners of the local phase will advance to the regional phase.
– An evening during the week of April 29th to May 3rd (date and time to be confirmed soon): Regional Phase | Greater Montreal. The top 3 winners of this stage will progress to the provincial final!
– Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM: Provincial Phase | Final competition where the top 3 champions from different regions across Quebec will compete remotely. With a semi-professional aim, the event will be streamed online and commented on Twitch, following the “eSport” rules.
Details for the Verdun / Nuns’ Island local phase:
– When: Saturday, April 13th, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
– Where: at the CJE Verdun – 4005, Wellington Street, Verdun, H4G 1V6.
– Eligibility criteria: Ages 15 to 35 AND residing in Verdun / Nuns’ Island (postal codes: H4G, H4H, H3E).
– Limited to 16 participants (access to the local tournament is restricted to registered individuals only).
– All equipment is provided (Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game, Nintendo Switch console, and multiple controllers (JoyCon & Pro Controller)).
– Complimentary beverages and snacks will be available.
– Great prizes to be won: a Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 wireless gaming headset (1st prize), a JBL Go 3 portable speaker (2nd prize), and a Helix 5000 mAh portable power bank (3rd prize).
